Good Earth Collective perform the hook-filled, original acoustic roots music of Steve Ansell. Dry wit and insightful lyricism are blended with sweet harmonies, powerful delivery and tender melodies in a style they affectionately call Anglicana—.

Whether we're performing as a full band or as an acoustic trio, we try to bring warmth, humour and honesty to every show. So If you're looking for festival set, an intimate club gig or you want to commission a project we'd like to hear from you.

About

We play original acoustic roots music blending guitar, violin, accordion, flute and percussion with harmony vocals. GEC have performed at venues and festivals across the UK supporting artists from Paul Young and China Crisis to Skerryvore, Elephant Sessions and O'Hooley and Tidow.

We pride ourselves on our professionalism and friendliness. We look forward to seeing you on the road

Bookings

We are a six piece band but we can also perform as a trio. We perform at clubs, venues and festivals but we are always interested in performing in non traditional spaces and settings. We like an unusual idea! Whilst we love a house P.A we can be fully self sufficient if required.

Projects

Good Earth Collective have created a number of cross media projects including 'Nine Postcards' and the 'The River Flows' for the Holmfirth Arts Festival. These projects combine music, story telling, video and live performance.

workshops

We provide interactive tailored workshops for suitable for all ages/experience including P.Uke, an interactive Punk Ukulele workshop and 'Nothing Rhymes with Orange' a collaborative songwritiing and performance workshop.
